Basketball Marathon

As an annual fundraising activity, the Senior students of Forest Hill College hold a 24 hour Basketball Marathon beginning at 9.00 am and finishing at 9.00am the following day. Our Basketball Marathon has run for over 17 years. In that time we have raised over 35,000 dollars for various charities. Each year the students develop a theme. The players represent one of the two teams under the theme concept. Students from local primary schools and all year levels at FHC and staff will represent these two teams over the course of the 24 hours.

This is very much a student-run event, but could not function as well without the incredible work that Anne Reily puts in. She oversees the event from the planning stage to the packing up at the end. Anne ensures that the students who organise the event develop their Leadership skills significantly during the course of the event, which takes in excess of 6 months to organise.
